Oral communication & poster guidelines

Contributions to the conference can be presented either as an oral communication, a short oral communication or as a poster. Please find below some guidelines and recommendations.

Oral communications

Oral Communications will be 10 minutes in length plus 5 minutes for discussion. Oral presentations should be made using Power Point software.

Short oral communications

Each short oral presentation is for a total of 7 minutes: 5 minutes for your talk, 2 minutes for questions. Please, make sure you use your time, but do not go over it. We recommend a maximum of 4-5 slides.

It is worth noting that short oral communications are aimed at young researchers, in which they have the opportunity to discuss the main issues or conflicting results of their research with experts in psychobiology and to get valuable direct feedback.

Posters

The size of your poster should not exceed 80cm x 120cm

The poster must contain the following elements: Title, author(s) and institution (positioned at the top); a brief introduction, methods, results and conclusions (positioned further down the poster). Visual presentations, e.g. graphs, histograms and photographs, are strongly encouraged. A photograph at the top right-hand corner of the poster would help the audience to identify the presenting author.

Authors will have to be present in front of their posters according to the conference programme/itinerary to answer questions regarding their poster.
