Sessions will be 90 minutes long and will consist of typically 4 presentations (maximum of 4 speakers).
It is recommended that each speaker’s talk lasts a maximum of 15-minutes duration and the questions for all the speakers to be allocated at the end of the symposia (30 minutes). However, the symposium’s chair is free to organize the time for questions according to their specific needs.
Symposium chairs agree to take the initiative to attract 3 speakers for their respective symposia. The chair can be one of them and one more can be selected by the scientific committee among young researchers (up to 35 years old) presenting oral communications.
The following are non-mandatory suggestions:
- To include speakers belonging to different universities.
- To include animal and human research, if possible.
Unfortunately, we cannot afford to cover the chair and speakers expenses but we will be most grateful for your valuable contribution.
These sessions must run on time and timing is everything. The chairs should be in the room
5 minutes before the session begins. We have asked the presenters to arrive early and introduce themselves to you.
In the case of the oral communications, the session will include 5 speakers. Each will have 10 minutes for presentation followed by 5 minutes for questions.
In the case of the short oral communications, the session will include 10 speakers. Each will have 5 minutes for the talk, 2 minutes for questions. The purpose of these short communications is to ensure that young researchers will have the opportunity to present and discuss the key results and/or the key issues of his/her research, as well as receive feedback from attendees and experienced researchers in psychobiology. Importantly, this should be a fun and interactive experience.
