Qiwei He is Associate Professor in the Interdisciplinary Program of Data Science and Analytics at Georgetown University since August 2023. She is also directing the Measurement and Data Science Lab, and affiliated with Massive Data Institute and Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Georgetown University. Before joining Georgetown, Dr. He had been a Senior Research Scientist in ETS’s Psychometric and Data Science Modeling group for over nine years, managing research on technology-based environment design and process data analysis in large-scale assessments such as PISA and PIAAC. Her expertise features in data and text mining, sequence mining, psychometric modeling, and analyzing verbal and sequential process data. She was an OECD Thomas Alexander Research Fellow and recipient of NCME Annual Award (2023), Jason Millman Award (2019) and Alicia Cascallar Award (2017) for her contribution to developing and applying new methods in process data analysis.
Esther Ulitzsch is a Research Associate at the Leibniz Institute for Science and Mathematics Education in Kiel, Germany. She holds a PhD from Freie Universität Berlin. Her current work focuses on the development of methods for the analysis of process data from large-scale assessments, ranging from psychometric models to exploratory sequence mining techniques. Her dissertation on the use of response times for modeling missing values was awarded the NCME Brenda Loyd Dissertation Award and the Gustav A. Lienert Doctoral Thesis Award from the Expert Group of Methods and Evaluation of the German Psychological Society.
Bernard Veldkamp is Vice-Dean of Research of the Behavioral Management and Social Sciences Faculty at University of Twente, the Netherlands. He specializes in research methodology and data analytics. His interests focus on optimization, text mining, and computer-based assessment. His work spans a range of issues in educational, psychological, and health sciences, from the development of new methods/models for the design and construction of (adaptive) psychological and educational tests, to the development of data mining models for analyzing verbal data and process data in patient care and large-scale assessments.
